About the World Languages Department

World Languages

The World Language program consists of college prep class offerings in Spanish 1-2, Spanish 3-4, Spanish 5-6, Spanish 7-8, French 1-2, French 3-4, French 5-6, French 7-8, three levels for native speakers, and Language and Literature for native speakers 1-2 and 3-4. The accelerated program includes honors classes in Spanish 4-5, Spanish 5-6, Spanish 7-8, AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature, and AP French Literature and Language.  

 

We are very proud of the accomplishments of our World Language program. More than 50% of our students are enrolled in a Language (not counting ELD students who are also studying a foreign language for them). Our AP Spanish results over the last seven years have been outstanding, with an average rate of 89.6% and 83.8% for French.
