Shaun Bond

Thank you for checking in on Schoolloop for the 2018-19 academic year. I will not be using this platform as a communication tool this year, but I will be using all of the following:

  1. Email: My school email account is the very best way to communicate with me, as I check it throughout the day. Email me directly at (not through the schoolloop mail).
  2. Aeries: I will be maintaining my grade book in Aeries this year; please check in as often as you like and email me with any questions or concerns. (Please note that I work very hard to stay current with entering data, but sometimes there is some delay. Thank you for your patience, and feel free to email me if you have any questions.)
  3. Twitter and Instagram: Each of these accounts is under the name "BondSRHS." Parents and students can follow me on both of these social media platforms, where I celebrate exemplary student work, offer extra credit opportunities, or make other announcements.
  4. Remind: This is a communication tool that allows me to announce homework via text message to students and parents. It is a free service, and I encourage all students and parents to sign up. Please follow the directions below to receive messages for the class in which your student is enrolled:
    • Address a text message to this phone number: 81010. Type the applicable class code (from the list below) as the message, and send.
      • Periods 1 and 3 English 9 CP/H, 18-19: @eng9cph
      • Period 6 English 11 AP, 18-19: @bond11ap
  5. Canvas: Students in my classes will also be using Canvas as a tool for tracking and accessing course resources, materials, and assignments. Canvas is linked to SR's schoolloop home page. Families can support their students through a private login access that links you to your student (also available through a downloadable app). You can also access my course materials (including the syllabus for each course) through these links:

English 11 - Advanced Placement Language and Composition

English 9 College Prep and Honors

English SDAIE and English Review

As always, please ensure that your student is using the school-issued agenda on a daily basis--if any of the above electronic programs fail for any reason, there will always be a written record.

Thank you very much! I'm looking forward to a great year!

Mr. Bond
